Welcome to the Augment Mission Event, a thrilling 20-day adventure that kicks off after completing Augment-1, available following Expansion-3 in the Fortress Augmentations menu (navigate to Fortress -> Info -> Augmentation in the top right).
Timing is Everything
Hold off on completing Augment-1 until you’ve tackled the prerequisites outlined below for the best results. The rewards are worth it—two legendary engines essential for crafting formidable Sanctum Fort HP builds that carry you through early to late-game, especially when you’ve unlocked T5 (10-star) green/rare heroes.
Note: Thanks to Path of Heroes, you now only need T5 greens before transitioning from Fort Builds to ATK hero builds.
Overcoming Challenges
During this event, four main hurdles will stand in your way:
- Collect 600 Railroad and Merfolk Dungeon Keys.
- Reach Augment-5, which requires approximately 400 Booster Crystals (200 to 1000, depending on RNG) and 500 of both Barrage and Defensive Crystals.
- Gather 75 Graveyard Tickets.
- Craft a Legendary Engine using 15 Turbochargers in your engine-room facility.
Essential Pre-Requisites
Prepare yourself with these strategies:
- Save Up Boost Crystals: Aim for at least 400 and upgrade your Canning and Gear Factory(s) to level 5.
- Upgrade the Engine Room: Level 5 is crucial—this can be completed during the event.
- Loot Preparation: Accumulate loot from stages, collections, and stage passes. You’ll need around 30,000 to 60,000 loot, depending on RNG.
- Maximize Key Collection: Stock up on Railroad and Merfolk keys (around 10 each) before unlocking the event.
- Friend Coins: Collect 150 friend coins over 5 to 6 days leading up to the event (aim for less than or more than 30 coins daily).
- Avoid Affinity Boxes: Hold off on buying them until after the event rewards; focus your friendship points on graveyard tickets.
- Timing Matters: Unlock the event on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays for optimal Graveyard ticket acquisition.
Daily Strategies
Key Collection
- Guild Shop: Daily, purchase all Railroad and Merfolk keys (9 each) for 1200 Guild Medals (Tokens of Unity).
- Arena Shop: Buy any available Railroad or Merfolk keys for 20 or 100 medals (x1 per 20, x5 per 100).
- Reroll Shop: Hourly, snag keys for 300 gems (x1) or 1000 gems (x4).
- Traveling Merchant: Appears every 5 am/pm and 11 am/pm (EDT). Check for keys at 5 per 1k gems.
Augment Crystals
- Claim Hourly: Generate x999 augment crystals in every slot. Ensure your Canning and Gear Factory are level 5!
- Traveling Merchant: Every 5-7 hours, look for Boost Crystals, Barrage Crystals, and Defensive Crystals.
Graveyard Tickets
- Weekly Purchase: Use 150 Friendship Points to buy graveyard tickets from the friend shop. Unlock on the right days to maximize ticket earnings (up to 12 across 4 resets).
- Event Tickets: If available, buy additional tickets during events, or consider a small purchase for daily engine/graveyard packs for about $5 for 2 tickets.
Crafting Engines
- Immediate Needs: Craft purple/epic Engines, requiring six Spark Plugs (available at Graveyard 51).
- Green/Blue Engines: Craft as many as possible for repeat quests (80 greens per quest) to earn Turbochargers.
- Legendary Engine: Use 15 Turbochargers to craft; it takes a full day, so plan accordingly. You’ll gain 12 from the event, at least 1 from repeat missions, and possibly 2 from daily packs.
