WEBFISHING v1.08: Guide to Upgrade Your Buddy

This guide outlines the mechanics of buddy upgrades in WEBFISHING version 1.08, focusing on Buddy Speed and Buddy Quality.

How Upgrades Work

Buddy Speed

Buddy speed operates on a tick system, similar to traditional fishing mechanics. Each tick represents a one-second interval during which your buddy attempts to catch fish. A certain number of successful ticks are required before a fish is caught.

Tick Success Mechanics:

  • The base success chance for a tick is 1.2% (0.012).
  • Each failed tick increases the success chance by 0.4% (0.004).
  • Once a tick succeeds, the progress toward catching a fish is updated.

Upgrade Levels and Time Metrics

Upgrade Level Ticks Required Avg. Time to Catch Fish*
Level 0 12 6:54
Level 1 10 5:45
Level 2 8 4:36
Level 3 7 4:02
Level 4 6 3:27
Level 5 5 2:53

*Note: Average times are based on a successful tick occurring approximately every 34.5 seconds (15% accumulated chance), reflecting personal experiences.

Buddy Quality

Buddy Quality is simpler compared to Buddy Speed. Each upgrade increases the chances of catching higher-quality fish, as well as the number of attempts to improve fish quality.

Quality Improvement Chances:

Upgrade Level Normal Chance Shining Chance Glistening Chance Opulent Chance Radiant Chance Alpha Chance
Level 0 100%
Level 1 100% 5%
Level 2 100% 15% 5%
Level 3 100% 50% 25% 5%
Level 4 100% 80% 45% 15% 5%
Level 5 100% 98% 75% 55% 25% 5%

Improvement Tries:

  • Each upgrade level (excluding Level 0) increases the number of attempts to improve fish quality. For example, at Level 3, you receive three additional tries to enhance the fish quality beyond the guaranteed Normal quality.
