Beginner’s Guide to Zoochosis: Caring for Animals and Curing Illnesses

Welcome to Zoochosis! In this guide, I will show you how to care for animals, diagnose their illnesses, and handle mutant creatures. So, let’s get started.

Learn the Basic Mechanics of Zoochosis

Zoochosis is a game about taking care of animals and helping them when they get sick. Think of it as a blend of animal care and a bit of suspense. You’ll begin by feeding the animals and looking for signs of illness. While the game gives you some guidance, things can get challenging when mutant animals show up!

  1. Prepare the Food
    • Before you enter the animal enclosures, make sure to prepare their food. You have one chance to check each animal before they show symptoms, so don’t head back to the train until you’ve done everything you can.
  2. Answer the Phone
    • When the phone rings, make sure to answer it! A woman will give you a code to access important supplies from a locker, which will be crucial for your mission.
  3. Start the Investigation
    • Push your cart to the animal enclosure. This is your “Investigation” phase:
      • Check each animal’s temperature.
      • Observe how they react to sound.
      • Feed them and collect their droppings.
      • Try to get blood samples from as many animals as possible. Don’t worry if some are a bit stubborn!
  4. Analyze Your Samples
    • Return to the train and analyze the samples you’ve collected.
    • Not every animal will show symptoms, but at least one should. If multiple animals show similar symptoms, they likely share the same illness.
  5. Be Prepared for Mutants
    • As you head back to the enclosure, a mutant animal will appear. Don’t attempt to help the regular animals just yet. Instead, go back to the train for more supplies.
  6. Gather More Supplies
    • Check near the door where your wife is for useful supplies. Ensure you have enough to deal with the mutant.
    • Create some tranquilizers (sleeping darts) to help collect blood from the animals.
  7. Handle the Situation
    • First, tranquilize a healthy animal to obtain blood for a vaccine.
    • If the mutant is asleep, you can shoot it with a tranquilizer. It will wake up briefly but then go back to sleep, giving you time to prepare.
    • In the train, create a vaccine for the illness. Each vaccine gives you three darts to use on the mutant.
    • Return to the enclosure and shoot the mutant with the darts to cure it.
  8. Wrap Up
    • Once the mutant is cured, you can safely go back and forth between the train and the enclosure.
    • Don’t forget to administer vaccines to the sick animals to keep them healthy!

Tips for Subsequent Enclosures

  • In later enclosures, you can create special food for the mutant animals.
    • Adding meat to their food can help keep mutants calm while you prepare.
  • After finishing each enclosure, check your supplies to ensure you have what you need for the next one.

Extra Tips

  • Be cautious! Infected animals can mutate while you’re inside the enclosure.
  • Use special food to identify sick animals. For example, if you feed a gorilla special food and it doesn’t get sick, it’s likely healthy!

With these tips, you’ll be well on your way to becoming a great animal caretaker in Zoochosis.
