Overview
To optimize your progress, aim for VIP levels 6 and 9. VIP 6 unlocks the second construction line, while VIP 9 grants you a free golden puzzle daily. Focus on upgrading the Battle Center and Tower, particularly if you’re not farming the Russell event. For Tier 6 troops, both the Battle Center and Tower must reach level 25, which requires purchasing victory badges and toolboxes using gems.
Suggested Upgrade Order:
- VIP 6
- Battle Center: Upgrade to levels 17-19
- VIP 9
- Battle Center: Further upgrades
- Tower: Only if necessary (remember, Tower 25 is required for Battle Center 25)
You can also spend some gems on the roulette for good heroes and the secret armory for armaments.
FAQs and Tips
Should I upgrade items or save resources for better versions?
Focus on upgrading your backpack first, as it benefits all troop types. Other items are specific to troop types (e.g., helmets for snipers, and armor for infantry). Upgrade all items until blue/violet, as early levels are inexpensive, then prioritize the backpack until it reaches red.
What about vehicles? Should I upgrade my yellow Beetle or save for a better one?
Vehicle buffs remain active even when the vehicle isn’t equipped, so max out your Beetle. Initially, an event unlocked a second vehicle after maxing the first, but most other cars are paid and quite expensive (around $300 each).
When attacking zombies, do I need to select my troops manually?
It’s usually fine to go with the default troops for zombie attacks. If you choose Peggy or Russell and they aren’t automatically selected, use them manually, especially if they are at a comparable level to your highest hero. For PvP, however, it’s best to manually compose your squad and save it as a preset for quick access.
How can I acquire more def fabric and carbon steel?
The Antpede weekly event and the Arena of Doom are excellent sources for both resources. You might occasionally find carbon steel in other events, but Antpede offers hundreds at higher levels, while higher-tier equipment upgrades require around 600 carbon steel. Fabric can also be obtained as a chance drop from hives.
What are the HQ-level restrictions for free movement?
You can move freely up to HQ level 8 or 10; beyond that, you’ll need an immigration visa for relocation.
