This guide covers essential details about the supernatural monsters you’ll encounter in Dark Hours, including their traits, weaknesses, and attacks. We’ll update it as new monsters are discovered.
Overview of Monsters
Understanding these creatures will help you deal with them effectively.
Premonitions
At the start of each round, you’ll get a brief glimpse of the monster. Keep in mind that this premonition may appear after the monster has already spawned.
Blind Ghoul
A ghoul with elongated limbs, reminiscent of a nosferatu.
Traits:
- Hearing: The Blind Ghoul can detect sounds like doors opening or voices. To stay hidden, crouch and avoid running.
- Blindness: It cannot see, so staying quiet and keeping your distance is key.
Attack:
- The Blind Ghoul attacks on contact. If it senses you, it will try to attack, leaving you downed. You can interrupt this by using a foghorn blast before the attack completes. If you blast the foghorn too late, it will stun the ghoul, but you will still be downed.
Weaknesses:
- Foghorn: A foghorn blast can stun the ghoul. You don’t need a full blast—just enough to make it reel. After stunning, wait a moment before the next blast to keep it stunlocked.
- Tranquilizer Gun: Using tranquilizer darts can slow the ghoul’s movements.
Tip: When opening noisy containers, do so quietly, then hide immediately. Wait for the ghoul to stop investigating before continuing.
Stone Stalkers
These statue-like creatures resemble marble women and are similar to the “weeping angels” from Doctor Who. They only move when not seen.
Traits:
- Move When Unseen: Stone Stalkers can only move when out of sight. You’ll hear a scraping sound when they move quickly.
Attack:
- They down humans through a grabbing attack.
Weakness:
- Visual Contact: Try to keep all visible Stone Stalkers in one area (up to five can spawn). Have one player maintain eye contact with them so others can move safely.
