Mystery Matters is an Adventure and Single-player Hidden Object video game released by Playrix for Mobile Devices. It offers similar gameplay to Gardenscape and Homescape but features hidden object puzzles instead of Match-3 levels. Furthermore, you are welcome to a beautiful island where most areas are locked; however, you can progress through the game to earn in-game currency and start decorating areas to complete objectives and unlock additional areas to have fun. There’s a beautiful cast of characters, each with a unique personality. The plot focuses on a small city where life isn’t pretty cool until an archaeologist with brilliant detective skills crosses the path.
The city is suffering from murders, kidnappings, secret societies, and viruses; in short, citizens are in trouble and looking for someone to get help. The core has many hidden mysteries; however, finding the solution isn’t easy. To solve the puzzle, you must visit the old mansion full of mysteries. Try to do puzzles and renovate the mansion and the garden when playing the game. Don’t forget to visit the Police Station, Local Clinic, and Museum to find clues. Your only objective is to discover hidden items, play mini-games, and interact with NPCs when unfolding stories. Mystery Matters Walkthrough Guide
The starting visuals are gorgeous, as the game shows a ghost visiting the sleeping grandma. Upon awakening, the grandma comes to know about the ghost, and later on, the headlines printed in every newspaper are the mysterious disappearance of Johanna Brooks. After that, Elizabeth decides to investigate the case and discover what happened to Johanna Brooks. Finding the truth could be challenging; however, she dares to get access and explore the case to uncover the secrets. Many levels are available; each level holds several tasks to complete. The more you play the game, the more you learn about the ghost and the entity who abducted Johanna Brooks.

- Magnifying Glass helps you highlight the object you can’t see using the naked eye.
- Darts – You can use Darts Tool to gather three Random Items instantly.
Chapter 1 – Shadows of the Past
The first chapter starts with Elizabeth, who reaches the mansion belonging to her professor. Three years ago, she was abducted; however, Elizabeth is in flashbacks when she comes to understand what just happened and why the Police haven’t found any trace of the disappearance. Furthermore, the game starts with the first level that may help you discover an item to clean the ivy and clear the path to enter the Mansion.
Level 1
- Discover a newspaper under the fountain and click on the cat near the tire.
- Tap the Shears near the musical instrument; tap the car bonnet for the hat.
Once you complete level 1, use Shears to remove the Ivy Vines individually. Once you clear the vines, you discover a stranger running toward you from inside, asking for your help.
Level 2
To complete Level 2, you must find six items to collect stars and complete tasks. You can’t complete tasks without stars; therefore, keep completing items to earn in-game currency and stars. When playing the game, you should remember that you have only five hears; in short, you can play the same level 5 times and then wait until the health meter gets refilled.
Tun on Lamps
Almost four items are the same as you discovered in level 1; however, two are new – Owl and Pointer. Once you find out all items, the game adds a star to your panel. Before starting the game, you must learn about the To-do List at the left-bottom of your screen. Upon clicking, you know about the first task, “Turn on the Lamps.” Turning on the lamp may cost you four stars.
Level 3
To open the door, you must collect five stars first and then search for clues to solve the mystery. Tap the level button on the right-bottom corner of your screen to play the hidden object game and start finding the following items: Police Hat, Target, and German Shepherd.
- The Police Hat is on the table, and the German Shepherd is under the table near the dustbin.
- The target is on the door; the umbrella and the crow are on the right side table.
- Once you solve the puzzle, the game adds thirty coins and five stars to your wallet.
Open the Door
After turning on all lamps, go close to the door and tap on it to see through the door hole. Now, you need five stars to open the door, as it is your second objective to complete. Once you arrange for stars to open the door, play a mini-game wherein you have to put the gears back in place, as shown in the image.
Level 4
Your next task is to “Enter the Room,” This time, the game introduces a match-3 puzzle. You must match three identical items to clear the screen and earn in-game stars. Once you solve the puzzle, the game adds five stars to your list.
Enter the Room
Use the stars to open the door, get into the Room, and examine it to find clues. After completing the “Enter the Room” task, your next objective is to “Call the Police.”
Level 5
Tap the button on the bottom-right corner of your screen to open the play screen and start completing the match-3 puzzle; you have to match four pieces of the same type in a row to make a rocket. You can use boosters to clear the screen quickly when playing puzzle games. Furthermore, you have limited moves to complete the puzzle.
Level 6
Two new tasks are available on your to-do list, such as Fixing the Bed and Replacing the Wardrobe. You aim to play the Hidden Object levels to earn in-game stars, as you need at least thirteen stars to complete both tasks. This time, the game is tasked with finding seven hidden objects, including newspapers, Shears, and hats. To make the level challenging, the game adds a timer. Before the time runs out, you must complete the level by finding all hidden objects.
Fix the Bed
Use six stars to fix the bed and move on to complete the next objective, “Replace the Wardrobe.”
Level 7
You need more stars to complete the objective “Replace the Wardrobe.” Therefore, you must tap the puzzle button and start playing a puzzle to earn stars. Once again, you find yourself in a Police Station and have to search for the same items you found before; however, new items are available, including Drum.
