MARVEL Cosmic Invasion's Siege of Castle Doom DLC Lands November 10 With Doctor Doom
Dotemu and Tribute Games dated their Marvel beat 'em up's next DLC for November 10, adding Doctor Doom, the Invisible Woman and a new siege-run mode.
Dotemu and Tribute Games have locked in November 10 as the launch date for MARVEL Cosmic Invasion: The Siege of Castle Doom, the second paid expansion for their Marvel beat 'em up, and this week's reveal finally shows what the castle itself looks like. A new gameplay trailer posted to Dotemu's channel on October 26 walks through the DLC's headline feature: a standalone run-based mode built entirely around storming Doctor Doom's fortress before he can finish his weapon.
The expansion adds two playable heroes, Doctor Doom and the Invisible Woman, and layers a roguelite structure on top of the side-scrolling brawling that defined the base game when it launched on PC and consoles in December 2025. Where the first DLC, Cyclops & The Thing, simply widened the existing roster, Castle Doom is built as a destination in its own right, with its own enemies, its own scoring pressure and its own unlockables.
What's Launching November 10
The DLC releases simultaneously on PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, matching the platform spread of the base game. Dotemu has not published pricing yet, and the publisher's own materials stop short of detailing every mechanic, so some of the finer mode rules are still being held back for launch.
What is confirmed is the shape of the offering: two new fighters, one new game mode built around those fighters, new music from returning composer Tee Lopes, and a set of unlockable color palettes tied to beating Doom himself.
Doctor Doom Takes Center Stage
Doctor Doom fights with his self-designed armor, occult tricks and raw intellect rather than brute strength, giving Tribute Games a chance to build a moveset around traps and summons instead of straightforward punches. Dotemu's own description leans into the character's ego directly, framing him as the biggest threat in the galaxy and needling Annihilus, the base game's central villain, for being unprepared for him.

That framing matters for where the DLC sits in the story: Castle Doom positions its new antagonist as a rival to the cosmic threat the original cast has spent the whole game fighting, rather than folding him in as just another recruit.
The Invisible Woman Joins the Fight
Susan Storm arrives as the DLC's second playable character, and Dotemu describes her powers as built from the same cosmic-ray exposure that created the rest of the Fantastic Four: light-bending tricks and force field generation that the publisher says are new to the game's moveset entirely. Early gameplay footage shows her throwing projected barriers mid-combo, giving her a defensive toolkit that none of the base roster's fifteen heroes currently have.
Pairing her with Doom, rather than releasing the heroes separately, lets the new mode lean on a push-and-pull: one character built to control space on the battlefield, the other built to punish mistakes.
Inside the New Castle Doom Mode
The mode itself, also called Castle Doom, is a run-based assault on Doctor Doom's headquarters. Players fight through waves of Doombots and returning base-game bosses while a Siege Gauge climbs in the background; the longer a run drags on, the stronger the castle's defenses get, and a gauge that fills before the player reaches Doom ends the attempt outright.
Survivors charge a device called the Stabilizer, a Reed Richards invention meant to counter the Cosmic Inductor, the flawed weapon Doom is trying to activate at the heart of the castle. Along the way, players collect Battery Cells and complete in-run challenges to unlock perks, twelve of which have been detailed so far; failing a challenge instead debuffs the player's fighters, and the castle itself is seeded with traps rather than just enemies. Successful runs carry rewards back to Reed's Lab, unlocking new gear and modifiers that raise both difficulty and payout for future attempts.
Where It Fits in the Post-Launch Plan
Castle Doom is Tribute Games' second paid expansion since MARVEL Cosmic Invasion shipped, following the Cyclops & The Thing character pack, and it is the first to introduce a new mode rather than just new fighters. That's a notable shift for a beat 'em up built on the arcade formula: a dedicated siege structure with its own failure state gives Castle Doom more in common with a roguelite run than a typical brawler stage.

With the November 10 date now locked and a gameplay trailer finally showing the mode in motion, the remaining unknown is price. Dotemu has said more specifics are coming before launch, but for now the pitch is clear: two cosmic-powered heroes, one castle built to kill them, and a gauge that never stops climbing.
