Sony has confirmed the three PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for November, and the lineup swings from zombie-slaying satire to a pair of archaeology classics and a card-battling trip through the afterlife. Dead Island 2, Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered and Monster Train 2 join every PS Plus tier on Tuesday, November 3, and stay claimable through Monday, November 30, replacing October's F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896 and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2.

A sun-soaked return to HELL-A

Dambuster Studios' Dead Island 2 leads the November lineup, dropping subscribers into HELL-A, a zombie-overrun satire of Los Angeles that Deep Silver first shipped in 2023 after a famously long development. The open-world RPG pairs melee-heavy zombie slaying with a cast of eccentric survivors, environmental kills and online three-player co-op, and its arrival as a Monthly Game gives every Essential-tier member a free crack at one of the more irreverent entries in the long-running series without touching the PS Plus Game Catalog's rotating library. The game drew generally positive reviews at launch for its combat and gore-driven dismemberment system, and Deep Silver has continued supporting it with new character packs and crossover content well past its original release.

Lara Croft's forgotten trilogy, rebuilt

The second slot belongs to Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered, Aspyr and Crystal Dynamics' remaster of what fans call the "Darkness Trilogy": The Last Revelation, Chronicles and The Angel of Darkness. As with Aspyr's earlier Tomb Raider I–III Remastered, players can switch between the original polygonal models and the rebuilt visuals at any time, and the collection adds modern control schemes, a photo mode and trophy support across all three games. It covers the least-played stretch of Lara Croft's back catalog, including the notoriously rough Angel of Darkness, and putting it in Monthly Games hands it a far bigger audience than its original release reached on its own. The timing also lines up with a busy year for the franchise, which has already seen a 30th-anniversary hardware collaboration and a new mainline sequel announced for early 2027.

A deckbuilding sequel from Heaven and Hell

Rounding out the set is Monster Train 2, Shiny Shoe's single-player deckbuilding roguelite from publisher Big Fan, a Devolver Digital label. Players lead clans of former angels and demons against Titans who have seized Heaven, defending three vertical levels of train car across runs that span Hell, Heaven and the Abyss in between. The sequel adds five new clans on top of the original's roster, reworked artifact and card systems, and co-op support for players who want to tackle a run together, and its inclusion marks the first time either Monster Train game has been offered as a PS Plus Monthly Game. The original Monster Train sold several million copies across platforms after its 2020 launch, and this sequel arrived on PS5 and other platforms in May 2025 to a similarly warm critical reception.

When the games go live, and what's leaving

All three titles become playable on Tuesday, November 3, and remain part of the Monthly Games library through Monday, November 30, after which they move into members' permanent libraries as long as a subscription stays active. Subscribers have until Monday, November 2 to add October's trio, F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896 and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2, before that window closes.

  • Dead Island 2 — PS4 and PS5, open-world zombie RPG
  • Tomb Raider IV–VI Remastered — PS4 and PS5, three-game action-adventure collection
  • Monster Train 2 — PS5, single-player deckbuilding roguelite

Why this lineup stands out

Where several recent Monthly Games slates have leaned on smaller indie picks, November pairs a full-price 2023 open-world release with a three-game remaster collection and a well-reviewed roguelite sequel, giving all three PS Plus tiers a noticeably heavier month than usual. The PlayStation Plus Monthly Games benefit remains available to every paying tier, from Essential up through Premium, with the games staying playable for as long as a subscription is active rather than on a rotating catalog schedule. That structure sets Monthly Games apart from the separate PS Plus Game Catalog, which cycles titles in and out on its own monthly rotation and is reserved for Extra and Premium subscribers, and it means this trio effectively becomes a permanent addition to any active member's library once claimed in November.
