Titan Quest II Opens Xbox Series X|S Pre-Orders Ahead of January 19 Launch
THQ Nordic has opened Xbox Series X|S pre-orders for Titan Quest II, confirming a January 19, 2027 console launch with Standard and Ultimate editions.
THQ Nordic opened Xbox Series X|S pre-orders for Titan Quest II on October 28, locking in a January 19, 2027 console launch and giving Xbox owners their first firm date for the mythology-flavored action RPG. The publisher detailed pricing, two editions and an early-access window for pre-order customers in a post on Xbox Wire, more than a year after the PC version entered Steam Early Access.

Two Editions, Two Price Points
The Standard Edition is listed at $59.99 and includes a Cosmic Turtle Companion pre-order bonus alongside a 96-hour early-access window that opens as soon as January 15, 2027. The Ultimate Edition, priced at $79.99, adds the original Titan Quest and both of its expansions, Ragnarök and Atlantis, playable immediately once a customer pre-orders. THQ Nordic is also offering a 10% loyalty discount to anyone who already owns the original Titan Quest on Xbox, a nod to the series' two-decade history on the platform. Both editions can be reserved now through the Xbox Store listing.
What Carries Over From the Original Mastery System
Developer Grimlore Games has kept the series' signature class-building approach intact for the sequel. Players choose two of six Masteries, Earth, Storm, Warfare, Rogue, Forge and Spirit, for a total of fifteen possible pairings, then spend skill points and modifiers within each to shape a build. Attribute points in Might, Agility, Vigor and Knowledge round out the system, and a gold-cost respec option lets players correct course without starting a new character. THQ Nordic's own game site walks through the full mastery list for players deciding which pairing to commit to ahead of launch.
A Strong Early Access Track Record
The console pre-order push builds on a PC launch that outperformed expectations. THQ Nordic's own newsroom reported that Titan Quest II sold more than 300,000 copies in under 72 hours after entering Steam and Epic Games Store Early Access in August 2025, at a discounted $29.99 price well below the $49.99 the finished PC version now commands. That early momentum is part of why THQ Nordic is positioning the Xbox debut as a full-featured launch rather than a scaled-down console port, carrying over the same systems PC players have spent more than a year testing.
Factions, Rituals and Co-op at Console Launch
Beyond character building, the console version carries over several systems introduced during Early Access. Enemies are organized into factions that react to a player's actions across a region, health potions refill as players land hits rather than only on a cooldown, and a Rituals system lets players dial difficulty up or down on the fly. Crafting, socketable Charms and Relics, and repeatable World Quests round out the endgame loop, and cooperative multiplayer is supported for players who want to tackle the campaign as a group rather than solo.

A Longer Road to 1.0 Than First Planned
Titan Quest II entered Steam Early Access on PC on August 1, 2025, and THQ Nordic had originally targeted a full release before the end of 2026. The January 19, 2027 date pushes that timeline back by several weeks, but it also marks the first time the sequel will be playable anywhere outside PC, since no Early Access build has been offered on consoles. The Steam store page lists the PC version at the lower $49.99 price point, unchanged from its Early Access cost, while console buyers pay the $59.99 Standard Edition price common to the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions confirmed alongside the date.
Where the Series Goes From Here
Titan Quest II is a direct sequel to 2006's original Titan Quest, which THQ Nordic has kept alive for years through remasters and ports; the series' Wikipedia entry traces that history back to developer Iron Lore Entertainment's original release. With pre-orders now open on Xbox and a dated console launch less than three months away, the next milestone to watch is whether THQ Nordic confirms PlayStation 5 pre-order details on the same schedule, and whether cross-play between PC's existing Early Access community and the new console base arrives at launch or after.
