Xbox Closes Its 25th Anniversary FanFest Tour in Seattle on November 12

Microsoft confirmed the final stop of Xbox FanFest's eight-city 25th anniversary tour: Seattle's Museum of Pop Culture on November 12, with ticket sweepstakes now open.

Microsoft has locked in the final stop of its Xbox FanFest Tour: Seattle, on Thursday, November 12, 2026, three days before Xbox turns 25 on November 15. The venue is the Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP), and Xbox Wire confirmed the date and location in a post published October 5, opening with the line "Seattle, we're coming home."

Seattle caps an eight-city run that began with Los Angeles in June and has since passed through Cologne (August 26, during gamescom), Tokyo (September 17, during Tokyo Game Show), London (September 26), and Mexico City and Sydney (both October 17). Toronto follows on November 6, less than a week before Seattle closes out the schedule. Each stop has been built around its own local fan community rather than a single repeated format, and the homecoming leg is framed as the one that closes the loop on where the tour started.

Why the Finale Lands at MoPOP

MoPOP has spent years building out exhibits on games and pop culture, which made it a natural fit for a stop meant to look back across 25 years of hardware and franchises rather than hype a single new release. Xbox Wire's announcement describes the event as "a celebration of XBOX past, present and future," pairing hands-on stations for current games with historical hardware and artifacts pulled from the brand's own archive.

The timing matters too. Landing three days ahead of the November 15 anniversary puts Seattle at the emotional center of how Xbox is telling its own history this year, and the Xbox 25th Anniversary hub frames 2026 as a victory-lap year for the brand rather than just another showcase cycle.

What's Planned Inside MoPOP

Xbox has only confirmed broad strokes so far: hands-on gameplay stations, a curated run of Xbox hardware and artifacts spanning the console's history, opportunities to talk with developers and other players, trivia programming, collectibles and an Xbox Gear pop-up shop selling anniversary merchandise. No specific game lineup has been attached to the Seattle stop yet, and Xbox Wire's post stops short of promising any new reveals, so anything beyond what's already confirmed should be treated as unannounced rather than assumed.

That restraint fits the tour's pattern elsewhere. Earlier FanFest Tour stops leaned on regional programming and community meetups more than world premieres, and Seattle is being positioned as a thank-you event for players rather than a launchpad for new game news.

Two Ways to Win a Ticket

MoPOP tickets aren't for sale. Microsoft is running two sweepstakes instead, both closing October 11 at 11:59 p.m. PT and both restricted to U.S. residents 18 and older. The standard FanFest Seattle Ticket Sweepstakes selects winners at random for event entry, with no travel or lodging included. The second, the Green Ticket Trip Sweepstakes, is the bigger prize: a trip for the winner and one guest to Seattle, covering entry to the event itself on top of the invitation.

Both sweepstakes route through Microsoft's own short links rather than a third-party ticketing platform, and full eligibility terms are posted alongside each entry point rather than buried in a separate rules document.

The Rest of the Tour

Microsoft confirmed the bulk of the schedule back in August, well before Seattle's date was locked in, and has kept each stop's programming distinct rather than repeating one touring format city to city. That pattern, and the gap between confirming seven dates and leaving Seattle open until October, is part of why Xbox is billing its hometown stop as a deliberate finale rather than just another tour date.

What Comes Next

Xbox's anniversary itself falls on November 15, three days after the Seattle event wraps, and the brand has said more anniversary programming is tied to that date through the 25th Anniversary hub rather than the FanFest stops alone. For now, the two sweepstakes are the only confirmed way in for fans who want to be in the room when the tour closes where Xbox began.
