Marvel Rivals' Dev Vision Vol. 22 Trailer Previews Avengers Modes and Halloween
Creative director GuangGuang previews Season 10.5's new Avengers PvP and PvE modes in Dev Vision Vol. 22, as the Hallow's Glow event goes live today.
NetEase posted Dev Vision Vol. 22 to the official Marvel Rivals YouTube channel on October 7, and the timing was no accident. The episode previewed Season 10.5's Avengers-themed modes and its Halloween season, and as of today, October 15, part of that preview is already live: the Hallow's Glow event just went up in a patch that landed at 09:00 UTC this morning.

Inside Dev Vision Vol. 22
Dev Vision is Marvel Rivals' recurring developer-update format, and creative director GuangGuang hosts this volume much like the ones before it: a straight-to-camera walkthrough of what the next patch adds, filmed on a set dressed with concept art from the game. Volume 22 runs through two new game modes built around Marvel's two biggest Avengers films, plus the costumes, cosmetics and event missions arriving alongside them. It's a studio-produced preview rather than a trailer with a traditional cold open, but it functions the same way for players deciding whether to log back in this week.
Wakanda's New 2v2 Battlefield
The headline addition is Path to Doomsday: Avengers: Infinity War, a 2v2 PvP mode that twelve players enter as six duo squads drawn from a pool of 13 heroes. Matches play out as short, round-robin deathmatches set in Wakanda, and between rounds each team drafts upgrade cards from a random pool to build out their loadout. The twist is the Infinity Stones: every team starts a match holding one, each granting a distinct ability, and a team can seize a rival's Stone by beating them in a round. According to the Season 10.5 patch notes, the mode went live alongside the rest of the update on October 9 and runs through December 11.
Thanos Comes to Path to Doomsday
A second, larger-scale mode is still ahead. Avengers: Endgame will drop 50 players into the ruins of the Avengers Compound to fight Thanos and his army in a cooperative PvE battle, expanding Path to Doomsday beyond the 2v2 format into something closer to a raid. NetEase has set it for October 22, two weeks after Infinity War's debut, giving the Avengers: Infinity War mode a solo run before the story escalates. Thanos himself isn't a playable hero in this mode — he's the opposing force players are organizing against, continuing the season-long arc that has steadily folded more of the Infinity Saga into the live game.
Path to Doomsday has been Marvel Rivals' organizing storyline since Season 10 launched, pulling in Avengers: Age of Ultron content before this mid-season update moved the timeline forward to the Infinity War and Endgame era. Treating each film as its own standalone mode, rather than folding the characters into the regular 6v6 roster, lets NetEase stage set-piece moments like the Infinity Stone tug-of-war without reworking core PvP balance, and it gives the free-to-play shooter a steady drumbeat of limited-time events to pull players back for.
Hallow's Glow Arrives Today
The Halloween half of Dev Vision Vol. 22 is the part players can act on right now. All Hallow's Glow runs from today through November 13 at 09:00 UTC, and completing its event missions earns Rocket Raccoon's Trash King costume for free. Premium rewards include Scarlet Witch's Chaos Weaver and Hela's The Redeemed costumes, while a separate Pop & Win promotion opens tomorrow with gacha-style balloon draws for Invisible Woman, Deadpool and Mister Fantastic skins — complete one pool at full price and the update knocks 50% off a balloon pop in either of the other two. The new store additions include Chroma variants of Scarlet Witch's and Invisible Woman's Halloween looks, each with its own ultimate-ability VFX.

What Else Season 10.5 Brings
NetEase has confirmed Season 10.5 skips a new hero and a new map, concentrating the update on modes and events instead. The patch does carry a handful of smaller fixes alongside the headline content: Jeff the Land Shark's Aqua Burst blast radius now expands correctly after equipping the Reservoir trait in Blood Hunt mode, and Black Widow's Widow's Bite Slam no longer sends her flying an absurd distance on rare triggers. Today's build also widens the 18v18 Annihilation mode with the Alchemax Headquarters map, and the free Infinity Finale track keeps handing out Avengers-themed rewards, including Thor's The Avengers costume, through December 10.
The Dev Vision Vol. 22 broadcast ties all of it together as a single preview, and with Hallow's Glow already active and the Infinity War mode a week into its run, the clearest test of the season comes October 22, when Thanos and the Endgame mode arrive to close out Path to Doomsday's next chapter.
