Xbox Game Pass Adds Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade and Mouthwashing

Microsoft published the second Xbox Game Pass wave of October today, and the headline arrivals are a genuine mix: a story-driven psychological horror breakout, a returning PlayStation-born RPG remaster, and a haunted-manor mystery making its console debut. The Xbox Wire post, written by Senior Community Lead Megan Spurr, also confirms which games are leaving the service at the end of the month.

What's joining this week

Three titles land before the weekend is out. Sandustry, a physics sandbox currently in Game Preview, arrives on PC today for Premium, Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers. Dodo Duckie follows tomorrow across Cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC on the Ultimate, Premium and PC Game Pass tiers, and the roguelike Scramble Knights Online (also Game Preview) opens on Cloud, console and PC for Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers on October 26.

A haunted manor, a return to Midgar

October 27 brings The Séance of Blake Manor to Cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC, a supernatural detective mystery set in 1897 Ireland that first launched on Steam a year earlier. Two days later, on October 29, four more games arrive at once: Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade joins Cloud, console and PC Game Pass; Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted and Terrible Lizards land on the same day; and Mouthwashing, Wrong Organ's acclaimed psychological horror game, makes it to Cloud, console, PC and handheld Game Pass. Xbox's post notes that Mouthwashing was added to the wave after its reveal at the ID@Xbox x IGN Showcase on October 20, confirming its console debut alongside the existing Steam release. Rounding out the wave, the dungeon crawler Pit of Goblin joins Ultimate, Premium and PC Game Pass on November 3.

Free updates and in-game bonuses

Subscribers don't have to wait for new installs to get something extra. The Elder Scrolls Online's Season 2 update, Echoes of Skyrim, goes live on October 21, and it comes with a free premium Tamriel Tome available through January 27. The Finals is handing Ultimate, Premium, Essential and PC Game Pass members a Welcome Pack with 500 Multibucks, a 25% bonus XP boost and the "Pretty Hostile" cosmetic set for the rest of the current season. World of Tanks Modern Armor players on the same tiers get an XP Stock bundle on November 3, bundling 20 Enhanced Repair Kits, 20 Enhanced Med Kits and 20 Automatic Fire Suppressors.

What's leaving the service

Nine games exit Game Pass on October 31: Day of the Tentacle Remastered, Dead Static Drive, Deep Rock Galactic, Full Throttle Remastered, Grim Fandango Remastered, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Wartales and Wildgate. Subscribers who want to keep playing any of them past the deadline can buy at the standard member discount before they drop off the service. A second, smaller departure follows on November 10, when both Football Manager 26 and its console edition leave the catalog.

The bigger picture

Wave 2 lands a week before Xbox's biggest stretch of October, with Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade and Mouthwashing both arriving on October 29 alongside Phantom Blade Zero's retail launch. Pairing a decade-old PlayStation exclusive turned multiplatform remaster with one of the most talked-about horror releases of the last two years gives Game Pass two very different reasons to open the app that week, on top of a Séance of Blake Manor console debut that was announced only weeks ago. As always, exact rollout times can shift slightly by region and storefront, so subscribers should check the in-app catalog on launch day for availability.

“Ghosts to question and a planet to save. Sounds like a perfectly reasonable few weeks to me!”Megan Spurr, Senior Community Lead, Xbox Game Pass
