Rockstar's GTA VI Launch Trailer Confirms Vice City Chaos for November 19
Rockstar released a new Grand Theft Auto VI launch trailer today, scoring Jason and Lucia's Vice City chaos with an unreleased Justice track ahead of November 19.
Rockstar Games published a new Grand Theft Auto VI trailer on October 15, locking the Vice City crime saga's launch date in place at November 19 and giving the clearest look yet at how Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos spend their final weeks before release. The ninety-one second cut is shorter and punchier than either of the game's two earlier trailers, built less around new story beats and more around pace: robberies, chases and a sun-bleached Leonida skyline cut to a single piece of original score.
A Minute and a Half of Vice City
Rockstar's own newswire post framed the clip as a send-off rather than a reveal, built around "Flower in a Hurricane," an original score track making its debut here. The song is credited to Justice working with Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard, an unusual pairing of a French dance act and three very different vocal collaborators that gives the trailer a woozier, more melancholy backdrop than the guitar-driven needle drops Rockstar used in its earlier GTA VI marketing. The trailer is live now on Rockstar's official site, framed alongside the game's two prior trailers and an extended gameplay look released earlier this year.

Jason and Lucia, One Month Out
The footage leans hardest on the two leads. Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos remain the center of the story Rockstar has been building since the first reveal trailer: a couple whose "easy score" spirals into a conspiracy that pulls in Vice City's criminal underworld. Rockstar's official description still frames the setting as "the darkest side of the sunniest place in America," and this trailer leans into that line visually, cutting between glossy resort imagery and the grimier, more desperate moments the pair find themselves in. It's a tighter, more character-focused edit than the gameplay-systems showcase Rockstar released in August, and it reads like marketing material meant to close the loop on the story's setup rather than open new threads.
What the Trailer Confirms
Beyond the mood, the clip does real confirmation work. Rockstar's official Grand Theft Auto VI hub still lists November 19, 2026 as the release date for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with the publisher's own marketing continuing to note the game "Plays Best On PlayStation 5." A PC version remains unannounced; nothing on Rockstar's site attaches a window or even a confirmed platform name to it, so anyone assuming a day-one Steam release is working from rumor rather than anything Rockstar has said.
The storefront also still lists the Ultimate Edition as a digital-only pre-order tier alongside the standard release, which ships either digitally or as a code in a box, and both carry a Vintage Vice City Pack as a pre-order incentive. Rockstar has not published pricing or a pre-load date on its own pages as of this trailer's release, so treat any specific dollar figure or pre-load window circulating online as unconfirmed until Rockstar's store pages update.
Reading the Trailer as a Signal
Rockstar trailers rarely exist in isolation, and the timing here is notable: a tight, character-driven cut dropping five weeks out from launch, after a December 2023 reveal, a May 2025 follow-up and an August 2026 extended gameplay look. Where those earlier trailers did the work of explaining mechanics, map scope and the two-protagonist structure, this one assumes the audience already knows all of that and is instead selling tone. That's a familiar late-cycle move for Rockstar, and it suggests the bulk of GTA VI's remaining marketing between now and November 19 will lean on mood and music rather than new systems reveals.

What's Still Unconfirmed
A few of the louder claims floating around this week are worth separating from what Rockstar has actually said. Reports of a delayed or restricted physical release have circulated for months on social media and fan forums, but nothing on Rockstar's or Take-Two's own pages supports that, and the standard edition is still explicitly listed as available in a boxed, code-in-box format. Likewise, speculation about a simultaneous PC or Nintendo Switch 2 release is not reflected anywhere in Rockstar's official materials; until that changes, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S remain the only confirmed day-one platforms.
With five weeks left before launch, expect Rockstar to keep the marketing cadence short and frequent rather than save everything for one final drop. For now, "Flower in a Hurricane" and ninety-one seconds of Vice City are the newest, and most reliable, word on where Grand Theft Auto VI stands.
